In the video,he shows the graphs and points out the dead zones and says that we cant tune for that. dead zone as in the car isn't running? im confused by this. and when he says while your coating down a hill to shut off injectors completely,but that doesn't make sense to me either. wouldn't the engine die with no fuel? or at least a lot of damage due to too lean situations?
The engine is being driven by the vehicle in a down-hill coasting situation. No fuel (and thus no combustion) is not a lean condition. It produces no additional heat and with no fuel, there is nothing to detonate. OEM ECM have been doing this for a long time to save fuel.
