After going through the tutorial on Air Flow and Volumetric Efficiency, some questions comes to my mind:

- What is the best approach in getting our desire VE value in Force induction engine, is it by the A/R value mark on turbocharger and/or supercharger?

- As a safe practice, how much compressed air could be safely packed into a given cylinder volume (ie. 100%, 120%, 150% or as high as 200% VE)?

Please excuse my bad English and do welcome to give me your inputs if you got what I mean.

Many thanks,

John

The A/R of a turbocharger has no direct relationship to the VE of the engine - This is simply an aspect of the design of the turbocharger.

The turbocharger or supercharger is there to compress the air and force it into the engine which results in an increase in the engine's VE. There is no real safe number in terms of what VE can be achieved with a turbocharger or supercharger. It's all going to depend on the engine's modifications (how well it breathes), the size and efficiency of the compressor, and how much boost you are running.
