have done multiple roll racing events and had the engine apart there appears to be no sign of heat

running k type thermocouple exposed tip as close to the exhaust port as possible protruding 6mm into the runners

I personally think on e85 you'd do well/can run more timing, I've found E85s fuel mass requirements make for higher comparative EGTs on an overly safe map compared to what is considered 'safe' on pump. If I were in your shoes and I wasn't on a dyno I'd probably back off timing 2 degrees to see if EGTs increase at all, and then go the opposite direction a degree or two if it increases. I'd also be curious to know what your split is.

So basically swing ignition angle both ways and see how it responds? See attached a photo of my last log from the weekend again looks like no temp in the plugs also my split table

Essentially - what kind of overlap on your ports?

I can't imagine you'll end up settling on ~7 degrees at full noise but it'll be a good datapoint to see if you're introducing a bunch of afterburn from an overly retarded timing map.
