Is there a way to increase the VE, and please, is there a way that we can get the equations in Metric Units
Raising the compression ratio, and improving air flow (larger valves, higher lift cams, head porting) are the traditional ways if increasing the volumetric efficiency.
I always thought that increasing compression ratio is improving thermal efficiency not VE..? To me VE is anything that affects on cylinder filling with fresh air and can change your AFR... Never seen changing compression ratio resulting in different AFR...
I suppose you are right, I do tend to equate an increase in VE with an increase in torque, and that torque increase could be due to other reasons.
