if anybody has a 2005 LS6 factory base tune, or something very close, please let me know. My CTS V is 100% stock and I am looking for a stable tuning start point.

If you are using HP tuners, when you connect with your MPVI interface, you can (and should) save the file as the stock tune. If someone has already messed with it, you can find stock tunes in the Repository area of your account (on HPTuners.com) that can be downloaded.

So I was able to find and download a 2005 LS6 factory tune from the HP Tuners website.
When I tried to install the tune it will not allow the install because of a licensing issue. I guess because this Factory tune that I found came from another CTS-V’s serial number I now have to purchase two credits to be able to install this factory tune file on my CTS-V? Sound right?
Note - I already purchased the HP Tuners credits to be able to tune my own CTS-V a few years ago and have been tweaking my tune since. This year I just wanted to start over from a factory tune and that led me to where I am now

Why don't you just use compare and move all the stock settings back into the file licenced for your ECU. I think you can do this with a few clicks.
