I have a project 03 RSX Type S. Engine wise I started with a couple bolt ons and didn't tune it. Did and Injen CAI, DC sports headers and 2.5 inch open flow exhaust. Purchased a Kpro installed on an 02 type s ECU and have been trying to tune on that. Installed an AEM wideband and DW440 injectors. When trying to adjust my fuel maps I will get one cell requesting 25% more fuel and the adjacent cell requesting something like 17% less fuel. I am thinking this is indicative of something mechanically wrong, perhaps bad valve stem seals. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help/info
Basic bolt-ons should not require larger injectors. I would suggest putting the OEM injectors back in and letting the ECU run the base map for that engine. You should be within +/-5%. This will give you an opportunity to confirm that everything is working in good order and allow you to data log what should be a decent base tune. You can then make the necessary changes to optimize for the new intake and exhaust.
If necessary, you can proceed with changing the injectors. At this point you should be familiar with a few more aspects of the ECU and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues that may arise.
Ok thanks! I will install the stock injectors and start fresh from a stock map.
