New to the subaru DIT Tuning. I was using a off the shelf map for a base. I first thought I wasn't getting little to none of my dynamic advance until I looked at some of the compensation tables. Is there any reason cobb has their timing compensation for intake temp pulling so much timing. Tuning in winter 32 degrees f and its pulling -3.5. My main question is should I let the table do its job or should I limit the control.

Hi Allen, in my opinion, unless you're building a dedicated race calibration from scratch, those OEM/OTS compensation tables are usually best left untouched. Cobb and Subaru put a lot of engineering into those temperature curves for a reason.

Because the ECU constantly interpolates between adjacent cells, changing these compensation values can easily disrupt smooth transitions—leading to annoying driveability issues like hesitations, surging, or unexpected knock when ambient temps drop suddenly.

If you're running an OTS or street map, keeping those secondary tables stock keeps the car predictable and safe across different weather conditions.

I'm actually pretty new to tuning myself and just learning the ropes. Saw your post sitting here unanswered and thought I'd chip in my two cents so we can both learn from it!
