Hey friends! I'm in the process of finishing my 74 mg midget build. This has a 2015 ford fusion 2.5 using stock ecu and manual trans. I have added a small turbo and intercooler. Maf is a pmas hpx-f2 set up as a blow though. I entered in the maf data, I scaled it up .1 and it idles pretty decent with a 14.9 a/f. It shows 3.1g intake at idle. Adding 25% to 35% fuel on oxygen sensor. Now if I hit the throttle it revs high and holds, not sure why. I've tried to disable the "auto trans" option in hp. When I do that I loose all throttle control. So wrap up. Throttle hangs when tapping and can't disable auto trans. Haha. Any help please.
It sounds like you are using HP Tuners. Can you upload a copy of your Tune so we can take a look at the settings (and what's available) to make suggestions.
Here is the tune file as well as the log i had made for the drive. The biggest issue im seeing, currently, is the lack of options vs a different ford ecu. Watching the practical tuning video there is just so many more adjustables in that ecu vs this one.
Sorry for the delay in getting back to this. In HP Tuners VCM Editor, be sure the menu Edit->View is set to Advanced. The Basic view can hide a lot of parameters.
You might want to try turning on Pedal Follower (found under Engine->Airflow->Electronic Throttle)
I notice the STFT (short term fuel trims) are huge in the log, so I don't think either the MAF calibration is correct, or it's not running on the MAF and the MAP sensor scaling isn't right. I would continue to modify / scale the MAF output until the STFT are within a few percent.
I would add the Manifold Pressure Sensor to your logging just so you can confirm it is correct. I'm not sure but Engine->Airflow->Speed Density->Calc MAP Max of 31 inHg indicates it's only a 1-bar sensor (I'm not sure if that is where you change the sensor, but I try changing if the output from the sensor doesn't seem right) -- You are probably using a 2 or 3-bar sensor. (1-bar is 29.53 inHg).
Not sure I see the RPM hang, or did that only happen when you had disabled the auto transmission? If so, post a log of that happening, and we'll see what might need changing (like the pedal follower mentioned above).
