this video made it sound like the only reason a maf calibration would need to be altered is if the intake track before it changed. is that what its saying? what if the motor had a cam added but had the factory air inlet and filter.?
To answer your first question (is that what it’s saying?) then the answer would be NO..
As far for your second question then I think I explain it to you in this way:
in OEM ECUs there is no fuel table like what you see in aftermarket ECUs so calibrating your MAF sensor is an easy way of changing your fuel according to your engine need with the new parts!
keep in mind that having a CAM with huge overlap between intake and exhaust valves will severely affect your MAF readings..
