If the crankshaft rotates clockwise and the crankshaft rotates counterclockwise
Should I change the direction of the camshaft according to its rotation?
You're saying the crankshaft moves both ways?
From the front of the engine, the engine normally rotates clockwise, or anti-clockwise from the flywheel end.
With most engines with a belt or chain drive the camshafts also rotate in the same direction.
There are exceptions where the camshaft is driven by a gear directly from the crankshaft, or a series of gears, and sometimes these rotate in the opposite direction, these are quite rare, but there are some twin cam designs where one camshaft is driven by chains or belts, and the other is driven from that by a gear set, which turns that camshaft in the opposite direction.
I would be very surprised if it was a case here, but back in the day some US racing engines would have heir chain drives replace with gears and some of these, that didn't use an idler gear, needed special "reverse" ground camshafts.
