Good afternoon group, I'm new in this course. I don't understand why he twist the wires before inserting them and how is called the tool to insert the wires?
The twist could be a "service loop", designed to provide an extra few mm of length, and allow you to recover from a failed crimp, or the requirement to move a terminal to a different position than originally planned.
The insertion tool is used to push the terminals into the connector body. Normally a connector kit will come with the body, terminals and a plastic insertion/removal tool.
Some will twist the conductor 'threads' to ensure they're all together and a stray doesn't get missed. IIRC, most recommend untwisted but for the most part, I don't see an issue - but I'm NOT an 'expert, by any measure.
