Interested to see what peoples opinions are for the best method for extending wires (eg - joining to a pigtail harness)?
I am just about to wire up an alternator plug harness and it got me thinking...

I use open barrel splices and dual wall heatshrink for this. Extending wires is always going to look a bit messy, there isn't too much you can do about that, but I find splicing and sealing gives great reliability.
