hi friends i have a question about moving in the rear battery hood on a european nissan s13 200sx ca18det engine, my question is, is it necessary to bring a negative cable from the battery to the engine block? or can I connect a negative cable to the rear chassis, and a negative cable from the front chassis to the engine block? how is it installed in bmw cars? thanks a lot
You could try it using the chassis as a conductor, and measure the voltage drop while cranking (that is probably the biggest current consumer) to decide if that's acceptable. Usually that will be OK, but I don't know about your specific car.
