Is it me or did you not show the installation of the crankshaft and checking the thrust clearance? Referring to LS1 Practical Example short block assembly video.
I watched it last weekend a I didn't see him install it either. I was I interested in what he used for the lube on the main bearings. I'm assuming mineral oil since he used that on the con rod bearings.
Which video, and where - ah, step 7? CBF watching them all through, is it possible one of the others mentioned it during the pre-assembly check - it is normal practice to do several trial assemblies of the engine to confirm everything actually fits together correctly, confirm clearances (especially with stroker cranks), deck heights, etc.
