Hello,
I have a fresh built 12:5 CR B16A on my car.
Engine could easily start with the stock ECU.
But with HC96X with Honda 96-99 basemap, engine would crank but not start successfully.
Is it completely normal until I edit the data by myself?

I'm not sure it's plug-and-play ECU for your specific model. It seems to me that some software tuning is required to be done first...
Since there were multiple engine options for those vehicles, you'll need to make sure settings are appropriate for the engine you have.
