Not sure where to post this or even what the chances are someone can help me brainstorm this but, I just grnaded a motor and don't want to have it happen again.
I've worked my way through this and have been running the package successfully for over a year. I am one of VERY few who are running it, and calling it beta would not be a stretch. I'll reach out to the folks I got it from (have sent them an email already, but it is the weekend and my mind won't let this go just yet.
Scenario was doing about 35 mph holding, not accelerating not decelerating. Rolled into the throttle to WOT and was expecting an upshift to 5th, instead it bounced off the rev limiter. As soon as I let off of the accelerator, instead of an upshift as I expected, it swapped clutches to 3rd instead of 5th. This over revved the motor considerably and the motor let go.
Looking at the log files I can see the logic going into downshift mode as expected when I pushed the accelerator pedal down (shifting twice from 6th to 4th) but as it revved through the RPM's, the shift logic never moved to "upshift". Rather than call for a shift when I hit the shift rpm, there is nothing, no change, and it continued to accelerate through to my max rev limiter. As mentioned, as soon as I lifted, it downshifted and the rest is history.
Again, it has been working fine for the entire year. Recent changes were made to improve shift speed, primarily disabling "RPM Match" because there was a huge delay during shifts. That seemed to work and was tested and showed no issue's. 0-60 times improved, quite a few different runs and passes on it. Until yesterday...
Any thoughts? I'm obviously concerned about making repairs only to have the same thing happen again. Image is added to show some of what I am logging. There is a lot of DCT parameters being logged, so chances are if you have an idea for something for me to look at, it may be there. You cna see the move to throttle on downshift, and it not moving to throttle on upshift in this image.
