Hi how do you calculate bsfc ?
You divide fuel mass flow by power.
the standard units are grams per kilowatt/hour . You need to know engine brake torque, engine speed, and fuel mass flow. To get all that you either have a fuel mass measurement on an engine dyno or you have to do a lot of calculations and estimations of what brake torque (flywheel torque) is. You can estimate fuel mass flow if you have a mass airflow sensor and you know the air fuel ratio.
Thanks alot need to figure out if I'm running the right size injectors and not sure to mass sensor I'm running 45 trottels and methanol
