So my question is when would you know when to change your fuel line. I mostly work with evo n I usually go -8 Feed n -6 return on most my builds as it’s sufficient enough. Now for lower power cars around 350-450 hp I’m thinking -6 will be good but for future proofing I’m thinking -8. Now for bigger power 800+ I’m guessing -8 return n feed or -10 feed. This is for evo but for other cars will the same principles apply or will it vary depending on other fuel system components.
The same principles are going to typically apply - but vehicle specific issues can arise in the gas tank and line routing that may affect one's ability to limit flow restrictions, or have some limits as to how well the tank can vent/breath the necessary amount to not have the pump cause a vaccum in the tank or pressure in the tank. Other things that one might consider would be direct injection vs. port vs. combined as well as fuel type and density.
