-35 degrees of timing seems so wild. I’ve personally used -8 to -12 on vehicles I’ve tuned and it sounds pretty good.
I always try to talk people out of doing that thing on turbo cars. It is a rally thing where turbo often is a dispisable part as the teams usually have a decent budget not to worry about spares. I personally prefer to save turbo by not exposing it to little bangs in the exhaust manifold so close to turbo- that just doesn't help it to last...
