EMU Black set to (passive coils + EMU internal igniter)
What is the measured voltage between Battery (+) and ignition output supposed to be?
I measure 9v constant, regardless of key position and cranking. Experiencing ignition troubles, so i wonder if this might be the cause.
Just make simple output test from menu, and watch if you see spark. If no, contact your local distributor, he will help you.
It's normal that the ignition output to "dumb" coils are grounded outputs, and should supply 0v when active (dwell period). It is very hard to troubleshoot that with a DMM, so the output test mode is your best option. A volt readout will show differently from meter to meter, and it all changes with the duty cycle/rpm.
