En esta sección, hablaremos sobre todo lo relacionado con el tuning . Noticias, productos, problemas y resultados.
So I recently listened to Ben's podcast with Shane t discussing tuning in the changing altitudes of pikes peak, what got my attention was the use of EMAP in the tuning of high performance engines, and made me think about why turbocharged street engines don't have an EMAP, is the EMAP only useful in high pressures or high power?
I'm planning to build a turbocharged Opel Corsa so probably it won't surpass the 200 HP, and wondered how necessary an EMAP was in those power ranges
Thanks.
It increases tolerance to intake and exhaust restrictions/damage as well as significant altitude change. Not strictly necessary but if your ecu has the capability I'd run it, especially if you will do big altitude changes or swap in exhaust baffle or run a cut-out on a speed density system.
