Hello everyone, since I'm pretty new to everything here can I get some help on how to read and datalog my Bosch motronic ECU from my e36, it has an OBD1 system and the tools which I have on hand are k dcan cables for OBD1, autotuner and the old kess.
Would it be possible to read it on bench or would I have to completely open the ECU?
I've only tuned the E36 with standalone ECUs myself, but OBD1 often involves more vehicle specific software and cable/connectors than OBD2 so hopefully an E36 OBD1 stock ECU guru is lurking here and can help.
Have you contacted the companies you have software/cables from to see if the vehicle is supported?
