Hello all,

I have a Suzuki Ignis Sport fitted with a M16a from a ZC31s Swift Sport running on a Link G4x.

During setup of the G4x i have noted that the MAP sensor used on the M16a is not supported with a pre-configured table in the Link software. Some googling has found a setup page from Haltech that has a table of the MAP voltage against kPa, however i cannot make sense of the values.

Kind of assuming that they are referencing Gauge pressure rather than absolute, however i am seeing a reading of 4.02v at key on not running which does not align with the assumption it is gauge pressure.

i guess my next step is to manually chart the MAP sensor output against absolute kPa, is there an easier way to do this than others? i was thinking to place a vacuum pump with gauge on the sensor and pull it down to the voltage in the chart and calculate the absolute kPa - however i am at a little loss of how to do this at positive pressure as i do not have a fine enough regulator at low positive pressure to test the sensor.

ideally i'd retain the factory sensor. Thoughts?

You can just add 100 to all of those kPa values in the table above to make it absolute pressure. Your 4.02 volts (Key On, Engine Off) would be pretty typical (97-98 kPa) unless you are at sea level.

i should have included my altitude, approx 14m above sea level.

inputting those values adding 100 does not get me close enough to perform the internal map calibration in the link software unfortunately.
