We are building a GT86 ( FT86,BRZ ETC ) and are looking into the possibilities of retaining the OEM electric power steering.
I’m guessing this is something that’s been encountered before and knowing that HPA Are running a 86 so I’m hoping they can offer some advice with this
We have read a lot of conflicting information online about what is required to enable the eps ecu. My colleague who deals with this side of the electronics packages has read the CAN coming from the eps ecu today and it wasn’t giving out the data as expected, I’ve no doubt with some more effort and time he’ll get it working but any advice is going to speed up the process and maybe offer the pros and cons of retaining this system
