Hello,
Looking for some ideas where of how to install a temperature sensor for transmission oil. How is this most often done? There is no pan to weld a bung to on this transmission. Do you find a spot to drill and tap or do you use the drain-plug hole for the sensor?
Same question for the diff. Drain plug or drill and tap?

Manual or automatic? If the former you may also have the option of the filler plug, which would remove the concern of damaging it if bottoming out, the latter you could use an adaptor at the outlet of the 'box where it goes to the cooler.
Same with the diff'.
It's a 5spd manual box.
Thanks for the quick response Gord. I'll spin up the lathe and make a 1/8 NTP adapter for the drain plugs!
