I am planning a twin-turbo Ford V6 build and need to select the engine management and logging hardware. For this high-performance setup (street & road course), I need robust, reliable components (not the most expensive) and would greatly appreciate suggestions for the following:
- Essential Sensors: Beyond the standard Crank/Cam/IAT/CLT, what specific sensors are highly recommended for a twin-turbo application? I am looking for suggestions on MAP Sensor range (e.g., 4-bar), dedicated Fuel Pressure, Back-Pressure, and ideally, dual Wideband O2 sensors for accurate fueling control, along with robust Knock Sensor types.
- Aftermarket ECUs: Please recommend 2 to 3 high-end aftermarket ECUs (e.g., MoTeC, Haltech, Link) that have excellent support for controlling a V6 (6 sequential outputs), advanced turbo features (boost control), and robust internal data logging capacity.
- Compact Data Loggers: What are 2 to 3 compact dash/data loggers (not full-size racing displays) that offer a clean display while seamlessly integrating with the recommended ECUs via CAN-Bus for simplified wiring and comprehensive data logging?
