Firstly I would like to apologise if this is either a stupid question or has already been covered elsewhere, I have looked but couldn't find anything.
If I spend my time using an additional Wideband Lambda sensor to tune my vehicle, which is fitted with narrow band lambda sensors, how will the narrow band sensors apply the new AFR accurately, which has been calibrated on the Wideband sensor, in everyday driving ?
It depends on the ECU. Some only use the closed loop narrow-band control in certain operating conditions, and unless you can change the range and/or disable them it may "override" your attempts at tuning in that area. You might be able to just disconnect the Narrow-band sensors and run open-loop with your tuned parameters, there may be ways to avoid generating a 'check engine light" due to the failing sensor.
Of course your wideband was useful to tune the generally open-loop wide-open throttle that makes all the power.
