Can two IGN-1A coils be run from a single ecu output for a waste spark setup? ECU is Motec M800. Application is a N/A Ford Windsor engine. The distributor will be replaced with a factory cam sync. Looking to mount four coils for each bank so either need to go with an ignition expander to drive the coils sequentially, or two coils per ignition output to do waste spark.
You can drive two of those coils from a single ignition output no worries with a M800. You will still have plenty enough cycle time to get full dwell at high RPM so no need to go to a expander unless you want individual cylinder trims.
