Dealing with a EJ20 with Intake AVCS . Mods are TD05 , fmic , engine bay fuel lines upgrade (-8AN feed/-6AN Return) with aftermarket fuel rails and fuel dampner on the return side, FPR , catless up pipe , downpipe/exhaust ,Link ECU G4+ Xtreme , Mac 3port , turbosmart 38mm external and NGK BKR7E spark plugs . Occassionally cylinder 2 and 4 will not be working . Sometimes it will be while driving mostly on really low speeds or for example if you are sliglty cruising and have 2nd gear at 1500rpm . Others and more often will be when idling . Doesn't matter if cold start or if its warmed up . And you can hear backfiring from the intake.
I have taken the spark plugs and 2/4 are white as if new when this happens . 1/3 are ok. Tried de activating AVCS doesnt affect it . Compression is 185ish on all 4 . Check valve clearance and shims are good . Timing is spot on . I have done continuity test and performed tests through the link software .
I have attached also 2 daalogs , 1 when the issue is happening and the other when everything is running smooth . The tune is not finished , actually havent even started properly till we find the issue .
