Hi all,

This thread is a bit tied into the previous one I made regarding camshaft design. As the title states, I recently purchased G.P Blair's 4 stroke design book and I am curious as to the most effective way to use it. I have read the first and fifth chapters (empirical findings section, looking for practical formulas), is it optimal to read each chapter sequentially? It's not exactly short so I'm trying to determine if that time investment is worthwhile.

Thanks

I'm not familiar with that text but, as a general rule, it's usually best to read from the front to back, as that's how the author intended it to be used.

Even when one if quite familiar with the subject matter there can be things brought up one didn't know, or had forgetten, that makes the new information more relevant and/or more easily understood.

Checking, the only references to the book seem to be about the 1999 edition, and there are some issues reported where mistakes were made, citing chapter 2? There may be later editions with the errors corrected but, if not, it may be best used as an aid with other sources?

Generalmente respondemos dentro de las 12 horas (a menudo antes)
