Correct me if i am wrong. From my understanding, lean mixture does not result in knock. Its the high egt temps of lean mixture that resulted knock?
Therefore if i had methanol injection to cool down the intake temp, i could possible do leaner tunes at wot?
Less gas, more meth, usually ends up being roughly the same lambda from my experience.
Yes, it's the increased heat from a leaner mixture that makes the engine more likely to suffer from knock. Anything you can do to cool the combustion charge will help make the engine less likely to knock.
