Can you install new piston rings without honing\deglazing the cylinder? Or is it usually better to put the old ones back in if they are within spec? Does it make a difference (new vs old)?
It's not recommended to run new rings on old bores as you may have difficulty with the new rings bedding. If you're not going to hone the block I'd leave the existing rings in the engine.
