I am planning to rebuild my plymouth neon engine can I follow neon service information for piston to bore clearance standard clearance and rings standard clearance even if rebore and oversize piston are use?should I still put standard clearance on the oversize piston and rings?
If the pistons are the same type as standard*, then yes, but if using aftermarket pistons use their recommendation for the piston material used and how the engine is going to be used - ie, if turbocharged or nitrous' is being used.
What pistons are you using?
*some OEM pistons have steel struts cast in to limit expansion and allow tighter bore clearances.
