I have a Link ECU Storm and I am using their pre-made A and B looms, but the shielded cable for the Crank sensor is too short. Can I extend this reliably? The shielded cable has a foil inside with a bare wire, not braid. How would I go about extended this dealing with the foil?
I would just replace the cable with one the proper length. You can buy parts from prowireusa.com to do this very professionally. If you just want to buy a longer cable already terminated, let me know how many conductors and what length. I have the shorter Link A / B harnesses in stock, and they don't have any shielded wire, so I don't know if there are splices for the shield or anything else special about them.
