Hi,

I'm in the early phases of my 1GZ-FE swap, and I'm planning ahead for the Engine Harness.

The 1GZ-FE has two OEM VR crank sensors reading the same crank trigger wheel, originally because Toyota used separate ECUs for the two banks. I’m trying to determine whether the MoTeC M150 can make useful use of both sensors.

This will influence my decisions to whether or not I'll be designing a block off plug for one of the OEM Crank sensors.

I haven’t decided on the M1 package/license yet. The car is a Lexus SC300, so I don’t need chassis CAN integration. I currently use a JRR Universal Motorsports package on my Supra, and from what I can tell that package only exposes one dedicated crank/reference resource for Ref/Sync.

Thanks for looking

- Samson

Hi Samson,

There are a number of M1 Partner Packages that have been written to use two Reference Sensor inputs for fail over protection, MoTeC has also implemented in a number of specific Packages and will likely have it in the next releases of the GP Packages.

Thanks Stephen,

Do you know if these updates will coming to the GPR packages?

Yes.
