Hi all,
Im wanting to see if anyone can help me out with a question I have. In the "wiring fundamentals" course in the module: "Engine Position & Speed" it's noted that an optical trigger sensor can produce both engine speed & phase signal. Im specifically wanting to know if a OEM SR20 (360 tooth) CAS is capable of producing both of these triggers for an Emtron SL4 ECU? I ask, as Im building an old 1979 Holden Gemini that has a grafted SR20 CAS to the original distributor (see attached photo) which runs from the original gear drive attached to the crank. Will the CAS provide both crank & cam signals? Or will I need a toothed hall sensor for the crank as well.
