Hi

I am going to run haltech sprint 500 on my suzuki jimny supercharged ( I will upload pics when i finished it), that works with cam sensor only.

It is 3 wire sensor, its for sure hall effect sensor?

will the haltech will handle it with no problem ? or did i need to do some modifications?

thanks

I'm not familiar with the Suzuki trigger pattern so I can't specifically help. If it's accessible then the best idea would be to remove the sensor and physically check the trigger pattern. It is hopefully going to be something pretty common and easy for the ECU to decode.

A 3 wire sensor is typically a Hall/Optical sensor. 2 Wire would suggest a reluctor pickup however to just throw a small spanner in the works there are 3 wire reluctor sensors that include a shield pin.

Ok thanks .

One more thing, Its run 2 coils wasted spark that get +,-, and ecu signal connected directly (without cdi or module) , the sprint 500 signal can connect direct as well? because i read that i need to put amplifier or cdi because haltech cant run the coils directly.

Its is true? what i need to do if so?

thanks again

In addition I saw that there is "ignition timing resistor" I read about it that it responsible on the compensation/offset of the ignition,

I understand half of the things if you can to expand about it and if I need it when I wire the Haltech ecu I will be grateful.

thanks

If your coil is a 2 wire unit then you will need a igniter module between the ECU and the coil. Many late model coils have an internal igniter that can be connected directly to the ECU however these will be 3 wire with a 12V feed, Ground to the engine block or head and a trigger from the ECU.

The ECU alternatively could control a CDI system but that shouldn't be necessary unless your expecting very high rpm, very high boost or both.
