As a guy from the states that grew up in love with touring car racing in Europe this is very cool. I would be running around like I was Tommy Rustad loving life. nice build

What is the red car at first, I thought it was a Datsun 510. But I was wondering if it is an older Toyota after looking at it more, maybe a Corona?

Thanks!

The red car is my friends mx30 cressida

18RG swap, TRD supra diff, T3 suspension

He has 4 of them, all in different conditions

Little update!

Started taking the club level wiring course and plan on buying a Maxxecu Sport and making the harness for it.

Have also been looking at turbo's, mainly G30-660 and GTX3071r Gen 2.

Aim is ~ 400-450whp on 98 octane

Suggestions are more than welcome :)

Cool build!

It's been quite a while but IIRC, the XE cam' swap was just the intake with it retarded 7 degrees (that little change in timing was good for over 50hp, IIRC), using both the overlap killed power, especially bottom end, as it bled off boost. Might be a good idea to double check that as it could be a simple upgrade?

Thanks!

Dont quite understand what you mean about "using both"....

Are you talking about using one XE cam and one LET cam?

Or am I totally misunderstanding?

LET exhaust on stock marks, XE inlet retarded 7 degrees. It looks like you're using XE inlet and exhaust which, IIRC, lost significant power/torque over the former.

Your setup might work better for your full setup, though - have you experimented with any other combinations or timing?

Back in the day, goodness this is over 15 years ago - time does fly, there were some VERY smart guys from your part of the world with 4WD Calibras, and the Brazilians are also pushing the basic LET/XE engines to ever higher power levels!
