I think you'll be fine with 38mm tial gate per turbocharger for that application.
The more free flowing your exhaust, the more wastegate flow you need. For example, if you have a cat and a quieter catback, you will not need as much flow. If you're basically straight piped, or just catless with a louder/more free flowing exhaust, you will need more wastegate flow.
