I think this would be a great webinar and really shine some light on tuning and engine issues when nothing else is obvious. I know EFI helps tell a lot of the story, but knowledge is key and i think it would be a great benefit to most.

I think reading spark plugs is something of a dying art but I agree it's still a valuable tool for the tuner to have in their tool box. I still regularly inspect plugs, particularly on higher powered cars. Let me give it some thought and I'll see what I can come up with.

You also need to cover the reading of plugs with different fuels as well then Andre, as Ethanol is different to Petrol, and need to be looked at differently.

This is an excellent idea but as BlackRex rightly points out different fuels have different readings.

Another thing to think about is the amount of differing views that are already online, some say you can read the porcelain others say you can't so this is something that would need to be thoroughly checked out and evidence (02 and EGT) to verify.

Thanks Andre, I agree that it is definitely a bit of a dying art but it's very good knowledge to have in your back pocket, especially when trouble shooting mystery issues.

I understand there's lots involved with reading plugs correctly, but I've scoured the web and there's definitely a hodgepodge of stuff out there as others have mentioned. This is part of the reason I think it would be a great place to have a solid resource of what to look for, and how to look for it.

Thanks for considering it.

Dave
