Just finishing up a Subaru project there at the moment,
The car is a 1998 Subaru Impreza version 4 Sti wagon , a lot of sentimental value in the car I own it since 2009 ,
There was a built closed deck converted 2.5 in it for the last 10 years but is starting to use vast quantities of oil ,
a few like minded Subaru friends have Jdm twin scroll cars and I do like the torque and response from those engines and also the refinement of the engine itself
An opportunity came up where a I purchased a freshly imported late 2007 Jdm Hatch Sti and a plan was hatched 馃槄
That was last December, all the running gear from the hatch is now fitted into the 1998 car on a link Wrx11 ecu , map dccd controller controlling the center diff , mapdccd wheel speed processor and a bit of trickery to get a speed signal to the ecu and dash
Gc/gf Dbw pedal bracket from PT motorsport in Australia fitted
And a Haltech can keypad , for hi/lo boost , launch control, antilag and cruise control
loom wise I removed all the 98 engine related wiring and did the same with the hatch loom and merged the two together ,
there was some messing with the main relay control as it was high side switched in the older car and low side in the hatch but all sorted , everything else was straight forward enough
