I’m not a mechanic or claim to be one, but do most of my own maintenance on my van car & motorcycles, I studied after school and more recent years, so know my way around a vehicle.
Im here to learn tuning, I’ve a mk5 golf Gt tdi which performs badly after having a garage do the timing belt and says it’s driving lovely but anyone who knows their car knows better, then had someone else do it and have made it worse in certain areas.
im looking forward to gaining this knowledge and then move on to petrol .

Welcome, hopefully you can find the issue with this but i would be starting with the area that has been worked on ie the timing belt

I had that checked twice, once by the original filter and again by someone else, was told camshaft/crankshaft timing ok, then told injectors faulty? Wasn’t anything wrong with performance before.
