Make sure you don't have a mechanical issue (like something interfering with the DBW throttle pedal), etc. If you've recently changed something with your ECU, consider how that might be having an unintended consequence (i.e. re-scaled the MAF in a factory ECU, changed a pedal translation table, increased the timing at low MAF / MAP entries).
