With a DCT vehicle, the transmission controller requires an accurate torque estimate from the ECU so this does require care. Of course if you're modifying the vehicle in the first place then you're going to rightly expect to increase the torque so this needs to be considered with your approach to any torque limits. More importantly though, you also need to understand the limits of the transmission in terms of torque handling capability.
