Hello everyone,
This is probably a pretty obvious one for most here and I'm probably just overthinking things.
I have just finished building the loom for a Storm G4X ECU. The ECU is brand new and still locked. I was just wondering when everything is installed in the car if I can just turn on the ignition with all components connected and then connect my laptop to the ECU to load the basemap. Or should I start it up first making sure that all connectors except for the ignition (relay) are disconnected? I am just unsure what exactly the ECU will do when it is started up for the first time.

I would pull the fuel pump fuse or relay for the first power up but everything else should be fine to just power up and start configuring.
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll just remove the fuel pump relay then and go from there.
