Excuse me but I got curious about how to optimize cam timing :) The theory and method of optimization; not through the laptop right ?

In general advancing the cam timing will favour low rpm cylinder filling, while retarding the cam timing will favour high rpm cylinder filling. There are a couple of webinars covering this which may be of use to you.
