I wanted to ask is it possible to use the IGN-1A coil on the 2jz-ge distributor?
Or is it possible to use bosch 3 channel igniter to drive the stock single coil?
It will probably work better than a common single inductive coil and ignitor. Keep in mind the limited dwell time you have with a distributor system and the max recommended continuous duty cycle is 40% for those coils. i.e 40% DC is only like 1.6ms dwell at 5000RPM. It will have enough energy to do low power engines fine assuming it is just NA. If boosted and you want to keep distributor then really the only option is CDI.
