Hi... so i have worked our a base map to start a toyota 3sge beams redtop engine connected to a monsoon link ecu. The engine will not start and backfires after 5 seconds of cranking. Any help would be much appreciated.
Attach your tune and a log of it cranking. If it is a G4X monsoon, also give us a trigger scope capture during cranking.
Back-firing suggests a timing problem - many people miss the first, and most important, step which is checking the engine's physical TDC matches the ECU's TDC setting point. the second most common set-up mistake is having it 360 degrees out with the "firing" being on overlap rather than compression.
I'd suggest double checking those things first.
