Hi guys, recently had an EVO IX in for a tune with Link G4+ plugin. Car has bigger turbo, AMS intake manifold, bigger fmic, 850cc injectors, fuel pump and supposedly a built engine but its not confirmed.
I did a very conservative tune on it due to it having unknown internal mods. My main question is why in the hell do I have a spike on the VE map at 2500rpm, never seen anything like it, if I try to smoothen it the car will go very lean at 2500.

That is typical of an intake and/or exhaust interaction. Not knowing that engine specifically, I would also look for correlations with any other systems (Variable Cam Timing, intake manifold Runners / Flaps, EGR activation, fuel vent purge).
