Hi everyone,

I would like to thank you for the quality content you are producing, however as I've started to tune my car, I've got stuck with some questions.

As you know, there are plenty of correction tables that affect the overall tuning quality. Yesterday I've talked to a friend of mine, who explained to me the benefits of RPM/RATIO and Selected gear ignition table correction.

I've written about it on guild of efi tuners facebook group, and actually got some positive feedback on using selected gear/ignition correction table.

Meanwhile, some people mentioned how a high gear may create detonation in comparison with low gears. Basically I've learned that in most of the situation, you could use more ignition timing on low gears/also used for torque management, while in high gears it would be better to subtract some timing.

I think it would be good to add to the existing Standalone Tuning course or maybe a separate section on correction tables?

I would like to repeat myself, while it is clear for me the purpose and the technique of using the ignition and fuel/lambda tables, I still struggle to understand sometimes the correction tables, and here I would highlight the use of EcuFlash software.

P.S see the attached pictures for some comments I've got on my question

Thank you

Can you narrow down the question a little more? Did you have a specific engine and ECU in mind? In those screenshots they are talking about gear based compensation for spark or fuel or whatever.
